In The Moment

In the moment

Our lives are made up of a string of “in the moment” experiences. Life only happens in the moment. Our ability to actually be in our lives arises out of our capacity to be present in the moment.

For me it’s an ongoing practice. I fall on and off that mindfulness wagon all the time. Each moment is filtered through our many complex and often broken lens of perception. How we perceive those moments comes through the lens, the perspectives, the vows and beliefs that we hold- mostly unconsciously.

I cherish those moments when I stop fumbling with the lens and simply drop into my experience fully and unselfconsciously.

These are precious moments to me, magical. juicy and to be treasured. Spring tulips. Art in a museum. Walking my dog in the park. A moment of flow with a client or while I am writing. And best of all, the spark of awareness in someone else’s eyes.
