As a first time author, I was under this crazy impression that when I turned in manuscript, I was done! So silly. After you write it there is an entire unseen world of editing, (and editing, and editing some more. And BTW… MORE editing.)
And after that a production cycle and a getting out into the world process. I can tell you that this process brought me to the very edge, at every turn.
I confess that at each one of these stages, I had no idea what I was heading into. Which is probably good, since I doubt I would have done it had I known. Truly.
And I pushed on.
I am so glad I did! I feel like one of those people who finish amazing feats of athleticism, like triathlons and marathons. Stretching waaaay beyond what you think you can do is good for you, I believe. I feel like a different person than I did 2 years and 7 months and 5 days ago when I first put pen to paper- or in my case, fingers to keyboard. It was a massive level up and like all feats of accomplishment, that new place becomes your new baseline.
I wanted to share with you what kept me going through this crazy, mind, heart and soul expanding experience. It wasn’t the lure of fame and fortune, that is for sure. (Most authors make 0 amount of money on their books… who knew?)
It was a desire to bring my work out into a wider world, to increase my impact and to help more people. My life purpose is to help emerging empaths, sensitives, psychics and healers to fully step into their gifts because I believe the world needs all the healers it can get.
Especially right now.
I believe that more than anything. And that is what got me up at 5am to write for 2 hours before my days started. What made me bite the bullet and go through each round of “things I thought I couldn’t do.” For me, it’s a soul stirring passion, a fire inside me that drives me through those challenges, to the point where the ink isn’t even dry on book #1 and I am already writing book #2, because I have more to say.
Everything around me motivates me towards this passion. I see the news and I think- “Oh jeeze…. If I can reach a few more healers so they can go out and do their work, the world will be in better shape.” It’s the ripple effect of empowering one more person to live in their life purpose, that is my contribution.
It brings me great joy to do it.
I would love to have your help. If this type of work calls to you, pass it along. If you are a sensitive, an empath or a know you have psychic abilities, I am here to tell you that those are the gifts of the healer and the world needs you to fully powered up and doing your healing thing, whatever that is.
We are called to participate in the awakening of humanity and you have your role to play in that, just as I have.
It makes me sad to see healers who step away from their purpose because they are under supported. I have seen Reiki healers stop working because they are afraid of the psychic openings that learning Reiki can bring. (They need the training offered in my book!)
I have worked with hundreds of empaths who feel that their abilities are a horrible curse and are burdened by depression, anxiety and fatigue. They know they are here to help and they can’t, not until they learn to manage their energy system so they can actually be out in the world, among the people who need them.
Learning to do that isn’t hard, but you do need to know what to do, and that is why I wrote this book. I would love for you to pass it around if you know some who might need it or like it, because I believe in the work. And the weirder the world gets, the more this is needed.
