We Train People How to Treat Us…

Respect - Aretha Franklin

We train people how to treat us and the level of respect that you get from others is exactly the same as how much you respect yourself.

Ouch, right? (At least that is how I felt when I just wrote that….)

The good news is that we can change all of that cuz it is actually in our hands.

If you are feeling resentment, it’s a sure sign, a red flag that you need to step back, reassess a situation and reset your boundary. It’s a sign to us that we are over giving in that situation and giving more than we are receiving.

Do you respect yourself enough to say no? And then still respect yourself enough to deal with the other person’s reaction to your no? (Cuz there always is a reaction, right?)

If you need a little more self respect, practice being your own best ally, showing up for yourself 100% and taking your own best interests to heart. Make yourself your priority.

The outer world is a reflection of the inner, so level up your self respect and see the magic that happens when you do.
